Behind the Scenes: Creating Our Campaign Video

We all love a great video. So of course we wanted our own reel to help launch Future Fortified. But what we quickly learned is that it takes a village to create a video like this… so we hope you enjoy it and share it with others!

Here is a look behind the scenes:

Step 1: Inspiration

It starts with a bit of inspiration.  For us, it was great videos like Back to the Start and Let’s Redu and art work like Ikea’s Cookbook.  

Step 2: Script

With this bit of inspiration, we wrote a first draft of our script.  This was no small feat.  How, in 90 seconds could we communicate the scale of the nutrition issue and the importance of home nutrition packets, describe our campaign and ask people to join us?  After many, many rounds and reviewing it with experts, we are happy with the result!

Step 3: Finding a Great Team

We searched far and wide for a great team to help make this video.  Thanks to our friends at Foodily, we met the incredible team at Alchemy.  We immediately appreciated their passion and love how it transcended into our video.  We hit the jackpot.

Step 4: Building Upon Our Brand

We want Future Fortified to be recognizable by all.  Thus, making sure this video maintained the same look and feel of Future Fortified was important to us.  To do this, we were able to incorporate the incredible brand and design work from the team at Apartment One.

Step 5: Going to work

We then went to work. Starting with our storyboard and creating our stop-motion graphics.

Step 6: Getting the Voice

But a good video must have a good story teller. HUGE thank you to our favorite Broadway actress, Betsy Wolfe, for lending her lovely voice to our cause.

Step 7: Sharing it with the world

Thanks to our friends and partners, we are sharing this video with the world to help make nutrition a global priority.
